Memorial Day

Today the kids had the day off in honor of Memorial Day. It was nice not waking up at 5:45 and rushing around getting everyone ready for the day and out the door. Dave had to work so he used my car-for the air conditioning and the boys and I got to stay home all day today. I love days where you can just stay in your jammies all day-I so wish everyday was like that. I did have quite a long list of To Do's but that was fine. Not everything got done but I got a nice chunk of it crossed off. I also got to start working out again-man taking 2 weeks off for the surgery, I am out of shape again. I have to still go slower than what I would like but I will get back in shape again. That stupid medication they had me on made me put on 10 pounds-yuck!! The boys and I had a good day. They played together so nicely while I was cleaning-which some days is rare so it is always nice seeing. We played, read books, went outside in the little pool for a little over an hour-you know me and heat, played Disney monopoly (again) and took a turn on PS2. Dave brought home Taco Bell-so nice not having to cook. Now, the boys are coloring and already rubbing their eyes. They are already ready for bed so I think it might be an early bed time. Dave and I might watch a movie and then turn in early-we were up pretty late the last couple of nights and the week is just starting.I am going to tape the new episode of Jon and Kate Plus Eight-I will be watching it tomorrow. Now, I am getting ready to check emails and read another chapter out of a book I just started (The Guardian" by Nickolas Sparks) Tomorrow is coming -only 14 days of school left and then the school year is over. Wow-looking forward to it.
