For Bay's end of school year party, it was at the park right by our house. It was so nice. All I had to do was bake 3 dozen brownies and show up and help set up. By this age, they pretty much entertain themselves (yeah!!) So, I walked over with their class and Bay was actually wanting to walk next to me and actually held my hand for a ways-odd? We get to the park and he takes off like a bullet. Since we were the first class there, it was still fairly quiet. While they played for a while, I was able to talk a little to Mrs. Douglas, Josh's mom and Megan's dad. Megan was the only girl that made it to Bay's party so we talked a little about what else-the kids. Then, the other classes were starting to trickle in and I wanted to get a few pics of Bay with his friends before I had to leave to help at Cam's party. He is so funny. A lot of the pictures are with the girls-Megan, Taylor and Peyton. All cutie patooties. They all get along so well. There are a few shots of Bay with some of his "guy" friends but not many-I think he prefers the girls. Oh no, already a ladies man. Bay was acting a little clingy and actually wanting me in some pics and kept giving me hugs (which is very rare, especially around his friends) so I asked if he was doing ok?-if anything was the matter? He just looked kind of sad and just kind of out of sorts. He kept looking out at the guys that were playing football. I asked if there were any friends out there playing football that he wanted to get pictures with? He said yeah but they were too busy. I asked if he wanted to go out and play football with them. He just looked at me with puppy eyes and said that he did not know how to play and they made fun of him last time because he did not know how. I told him I was proud that he even tried-especially not knowing what he was doing but that he put himself out there. It just seemed he was kind of ostrisized from some of the boys because he did not play sports. So I asked if he wanted me or daddy to get him a football and help teach him how to play so he could get out there with the boys. He looked up at me with the biggest grin on his face and said yes. So ofcourse, after I got home I called Dave and told him what had happened. He went and got a football and they are going to go to the park saturday and start learning the game. I thought that was too sweet. What a way to step up to the plate daddy. I am so proud of you. Well, then it was pizza time and time for me to go help at Cam's party. So, after more hugs and kisses (which I never get tired of) I was off for another party...
