new chores to the boys list. Before it was basically keeping their room clean, making their beds and picking up after themselves. Well, now there is taking out the trash and the recycling, setting and unloading the table and cleaning their own bathroom. I really like the last one. Boy's are messy and gross when it comes to using the potty so now they have to clean up after themselves.YEAH!! So today, after school, I showed them how to clean it.They actually did a pretty good job being their first time.In a couple months (if all goes well with this list) I am going to add on unloading the dishwasher and possibly sorting their own laundry. As a reward for all their help around the house, Cam will receive $5.00 and Bay will receive $7.00. I know that sounds like a ton of money but we may be actually spending less or about the same as what we are now. This way it puts them incharge of their own buying. In exchange for the large allowance, they will have to pay for their own book orders, snack shack, treats after school, toys, Chuck E Cheese tokens, etc..things that we would normally buy for them. All the extras that sure add up fast. We just spent $32.00 on 2 book orders for the month and $40.00 for 2 yearbooks. Man, kids are expensive-but ofcourse they are worth every dime.Hopefully this will help and teach them responsibility and a little bit of money planning (budget)-things school doesn't always teach. I know they are both still young and this is a big subject but you got to start somewhere. So, we will see how this goes. Wish us luck!!
