My second mom

Bobbie was like my second mom growing up. We were always at her house playing with Micheal and Jaci or they were at our house playing. In the summer, we were out and about from sun up to sun down. So many great memories. She looked beautiful at the wedding. Congrats

Took A Break

I have been MIA lately. I had to have exploratory surgery last week and was not really feeling up to being on the computer-which is weird because I think I could post sometimes in my sleep. But feeling tons better. I go see the dr. on wednesday morning to see what is next. Kind of anxious about it. I like to be the one in control with all the answers and I cannot stand when things are out of my control. I hate waiting-just tell me already.

Jaci's Wedding

We had such a good time at Jaci's wedding saturday night.The Gebharts house was our second home. We used to spend hours over there watching tv and eating mac n cheese, making our own batches of cookies, playing outside, riding the 3 wheeler. So many fun memories. So happy to see Jaci getting married to the man of her dreams. She looked radiant. Simply gorgeous. Dave and I were laughing on the way home just thinking that we stayed longer at their wedding then we did our own. Such a fun time had by all.

My 100th Post

I have been seeing alot of people post 100 things about them on their 100th post so I thought I would try my hand a it. So, here goes...

100 Things About Our Family

1. Dave and I met thru a mutual friend my senior year in high school
2.On our 1st date, we went to watch, "While You Were Sleeping" (still one of my fave's) and Dave's parents were only a few rows back-I had no idea so all was good.
3.After the movie, we went to Lyons and I spilled grapes down my shorts-what a great first impression.
4.We got married when I was 19 and Dave was 21.
5.We have moved 15 times since we have been married (married 12 1/2 years)
6.I have had 2 surgeries and 2 kids-no more hospitals
7.I have OCD tendencies-someone has to be "off"
8.I have to sleep with my socks on-no matter how hot it is
9. Dave has to sleep with his socks off-no matter how cold it is.
10.We had a dog for about a week-stupid allergies
11.I used to have 10 piercings-6 in my right ear, 3 in my left ear and 1 in my eyebrow
12.Dave and I each have 1 tattoo-would like another
13.Surprised Dave and took him to Santa Barbara whale watching-before kids

Easter 2004 Accordion Album

There are a few entries for this one post. This is a mini accordion album I did for the scrapbook store to go with the 2 page layout I posted a couple days back. It has 6 pictures on each side so you can get quite a few pics on it. I have been wanting to make one for some time now and now was the perfect opportunity to do so. I have had this blank accordion album for almost a year now so it felt so good to create with it and actually finish something. I have been trying to make more pages and things for our family album and this will look good ontop of our piano-a good display area. Well, off to get the kiddos ready for bed.

Start Your Engines

This morning was the Awana Grand Prix. The boys had such a great time making their cars. They did all the painting themselves-I was so proud. Here are a few pics from the event. The first is the boys and their cars after the event. They both received a blue ribbon for participating. They thought that was pretty cool.The second pic is Cams Formula One blue race car. The third is Bay's blue and yellow Camaro. The fourth pic is of Camden, his buddies Michael, Kristen and Brooke. And the last pic is of Bailey playing Connect Four with Hayley. Afterwards, we went to Me N Ed's and ate the most delicious pizza ever. I love Me N Ed's. We haven't had it in like a year or so so it was much missed. Man, do they know how to make a pizza. Then we came home and I finished working on my stuff for the scrapbook store. All in all it was a very fun family day. We have already started getting ideas for next years car's.

Water Play in March

Well, here we are in March and already playing in the water. I picked the boys up from school and they were already sweaty stinky hot so I asked if they wanted to play with the hose. They squealed in unison. So out they went. I just watched and laughed as they chased each other around trying to squirt one another-too funny. They were actually playing outside for so long, I had to tell them to come in. It was pretty doggone cute. Love those stinky boys

March layout for Design Team

Here is my layout for the scrapbook store for March. I still am working on my 3D or altered item-just need some inspiration. Where is my muse? I have so many ideas but can't seem to put it on paper.Not sure how to make it come alive. Hopefully I can work on it a little today. I have to turn it in by saturday-which leaves limited time. Having to put my motherly duties first leaves little time to create. Just hoping it all comes together like I have envisioned it.Wish me luck-send inspirational thoughts!!

Green Pancakes ?

So in celebration of St Patty's Day, I made green pancakes. And boy, were they green-but they were good.

Green Day at School

Today was my tuesday to help in Cam's class. It just happened to fall on St Patrick's Day. I do have to say that the kids were extra rowdy and loud today. Man, those 2 hours went by so slowly and usually I can't believe time is already up but it was pretty bad today. Poor Ms. Moua-even she was losing her cool. Cards were being pulled left and right. Thank goodness Cam is such a great student-his card remained green all day today.There are a few pics of the kids eating green food they brought to share-cantaloupe, green filled Oreo's (ours) green sugar cookies, grapes, andes mints, a few others and green punch. It was pretty interesting seeing only green items on their plates. I thought it was so funny how there was a boys table and then a girls table. So middle school-made me laugh. All was going well until a fight between Brandon and another boy started.Actual fists flying thru the air. What the heck-this is a good school. Well, the problem got resolved and all went inside for show and tell. I felt bad-Bay's class did not have a party so I have no pics of him to show.And then there are a few pics of Cam doing his work at centers-too cute. All in all-a very good but tiring day.

St Patricks Day Tins

Here are the tins I made for the boys' teachers for St Patricks Day. They are not great pics but the camera batteries died before I could get a decent shot.We just filled them with green jelly bellies. Just a little something green for an irish day.

Car Painting

The boys started painting their cars yesterday for the Awana Grand Prix It was so cute watching them concentrate and try to paint what they had imagined their car would look like.It was quite a shock to me but they did not make a mess. Miracles do happen.Dave has to put the wheels on tonight because tomorrow they have to take them to Awana and have them weighed so they can race them on the big day (saturday)They are getting pretty excited about it.I love watching them become excited about something new. Ofcourse, I will have the camera ready for saturday-you can never have too many pictures-especially of another "first"

Park with Stephano

We had Camden's best bud Stephano come over after school today for a couple hours. They had such a great time together. They get along so great. I picked them up from school and we walked home and I had cookies and milk waiting for them. So cute listening to them talk. We walked over to the park and played for about an hour. They had a blast using their imaginations. I think the best part was finding this butterfly and the boys being careful taking turns touching it. Bay did not want to-not a big fan of creatures of any sort.Stephano was so funny. As we started walking home from school, he had a weird look on his face and was walking very slowly and I start thinking, "Oh no, hes gonna want to call his mom and go home." Well, the boys started talking to him a mile a minute and about 10 minutes later, his whole attitude changed. He looked over at me and said,"I was really homesick but I am all better now" and from that point on, it was smooth sailing.What a great (and tiring) day. So happy for Camden. What a great friend he has.

O Scrap

More pages done. The top one is of Cam (in Jan) reading one of his favorite books. Way too cute. So thankful both my boys are readers. The last pic is of Bay when he was 6 weeks old. My how time flies. He looks so small and fragile. So sweet. How I miss those days. Hopefully I can get a few more pages done this week along with a few cards and some projects I am working on.Have a blesses Sunday.

Been Scrappin

I have been working on a few more scrapbook pages.I'm so far behind, I do not think I will ever catch up. But its a fun process.I Love scrapping!!
