A Great Sunday

Yesterday we had such a great day as a family. After church, we came home and Dave BBQ'd some juicy burgers with melted mozzarella cheese. We also had a delicious red potato salad with dill and Baked lays. Yummy!!!! Ofcourse I skipped the potato salad (did have a bite-so good) and had a bowl of strawberries. I have been practically living off strawberries this summer. What am I going to do when the season is over? No more stopping on the way home from swim at the little stand and picking up a flat of them.Which delicious fruit is next in season? I am already freaking out-I love strawberries!!! I think we will be hitting the Clovis Farmers Market this week and buying up some yummy goodies. Better find out when it is...

Ok, went a little off the subject. After we ate, we came inside-cause I was sweating pretty badly and Camden had invited us to his room for desserts and game time. It was so adorable. So, we went to his room and they had Hostess chocolate cupcakes for dessert and we played Yahtzee, Uno and Pictureka for like 2 hours. It was so nice just "being " a family. Time just flew by. Before we knew it, it was almost 3:45. Well, then we kind of went our seperate ways for a while. I, ofcourse started making some cards, Dave started playing his XBOX and the boys watched and reenacted what game daddy was playing. Still full from lunch, we just sort of snacked for dinner and before we knew it, it was the boys bedtime. Another great day!!I love my family!

Camden's First Lost Tooth

I cannot believe my "baby" lost his very first tooth. It seems like just yesterday he was getting his first teeth in. Time flies-it is bittersweet. Sad to know he is my last and there is nothing to be done about that. But so proud of how he is growing and maturing. He is my little helper. Always wanting to help-such a kind heart on this one. Now when he smiles, I am reminded just how fast he is growing. I am pretty happy that tooth is out. He has been tormenting me for a week with that nasty bloody thing. I can deal with poop messes, throw up, bugs, etc but something about the mouth just totally grosses me out. I literally gag and he loves it-it was torture but no more. Well, not until he has another loose one. Hopefully the Tooth Fairy will be on her game tonight. I am all out of excuses.

Buzz Lightyear-July 1st

After bath time, I was trying to get them to settle down so I put on Toy Story 2-one of Camden's favorite movies. Cam also has a few of the toys that go along with the movie so we got those out to play with. She loved Buzz. She would not let him go. She talked to him and after she tucked Jesse into the little sleeping bag, I think she started singing nigh night to Buzz. It was pretty cute.

Bath time-July 1st

I will let the pictures speak for themselves

The Chase is On

It was so funny watching them chase each other around the living room. Taylor would catch them and then let them go and chase the other one and so on and so forth. It was funny-the boys would be close to catching her and she would play dead. Then she would open her eyes and scream and chase them again. So funny. They were all laughing so hard-well, it was definitely bath time after that game.

Carrying Taylor-July 1st

No words really needed. Cam loves carrying her around-well when she allows it.

Coloring-July 1st

After the toys,, we decided to color pictures. She loved picking out the colors and putting them where she wanted. They all 3 colored for quite a while-which was great considering I needed to start dinner. I had 3 hungry little monkeys. They also scarfed all their dinner. We had Mickey Mouse shaped chicken nuggets, peas and mac n cheese. You would have thought they had not eaten all day.

How Many toys can we play with? July 1st

I guess there was just so much to see and so many new undiscovered toys that it was hard to decide what to play with. So we tried almost all. We played with sea animals, farm animals, blocks, cars, books, big magnetic things, walkie talkies and what not. She was so good at cleaning up though. I wish my kids did that.

Giving Hugs-July 1st

It was so funny. I tried to get Taylor to sit by great grandma for a pic but since she does not know her, she wanted none of that. So, on grandmas way out the door, the boys ran up to give her good bye hugs and all of a sudden Taylor had to get on in the action. It was great. Great grandma got a hug and I got a pic-even though its not the best. One of those moments when I did not know it was going to happen-lesson learned-ALWAYS BE PREPARED!!

Reading with Great Grandma

Great Grandma came over for a little while and watched the kids swim in the pool and then we came inside and Camden read her a few books. Bay also wanted in on the action so he started reading a book to Taylor. Very sweet. Love those boys!!

Pool Time-July 1st

Here are a few pics of the kids playing in the little pool. Taylor could hardly climb in and out of it but she tried with all her might. She loved the yellow fish we had in the water and tried so hard to stand on it to surf. So cute. The boys did such a great job with her. She defintely knows what she wants and lets you know. Camden asked me how come I let her get her way alot of the time. I said because she is our guest and all of our toys are new to her. Well, that worked, don't know how long till I get a rebuttle. But it is so fun watching the cousins play together. I wish we lived closer so they could really know each other and see each other more. Maybe we can do this again next summer.

Piano Recital-July 1st

Just a few pics-she LOVES the piano. She loved to hit the keys and sing a song only she knew the words to. It was adorable. And let me say the concert went on for 35 minutes-until mean Auntie closed the lid.

Ice Cream with Taylor-July 1st

We met mom in Kettleman at Taco Bell for a bite and then brought Taylor home with us. She did so good in the car. We put on Monsters Inc and she watched it and laughed the whole ride home. When we got home, everyone wanted a snack so we brought out the ice cream and she went nuts. It was so hot it felt so good to eat. By the end, everyone was so messy, it was pool time.

June 21st-Fathers Day

We all had a great day. We let daddy sleep in then served him a huge breakfast-eggs, sausage, funeral potatoes and wild blueberry muffins. So yummy!!! Then we got ready and went to see,"Night at the Museum 2". Kids loved it. They are still quoting lines from it. I thought it was ok-it had its moments but I still like the first one the best. After the movie, Dave got to pick where to eat lunch at-ofcourse Inn N Out-I am not really a fan but he loves it. We came home and just enjoyed the day together as a family. Just the 4 of us-so nice!!

Broken Bed part 1-June

Well, we had a bit of a trying day. The boys had been told not to jump on their beds because one board had already broke. Well, the night before these pics were taken, guess what Bay was doing? Yep, jumping on his bed and lo and behold, like we had stated, the board broke. Daddy thought for his punishment he needed to go get the supplies and help fix it. I thought that was a brilliant idea. So daddy got out the tape measure and had Bay measure a few things and then off they went to OSH. They got home and Bay had to measure the wood and make a mark.Next, daddy showed him how the saw worked and the safety measures behind it. So, they did a trial run. Daddy was telling him it would be loud and to be careful and showed him where to keep his hands and where the emergency shut off button was and Bay lost it. He just started crying and shaking. It was too much for him. I knew it would be hard for him but I did not know it would affect him this much. He was so worried his fingers or hand would get chopped off. Poor guy but Dave was very patient with him and loving and understanding but at the same time very stern letting him know Yes, this was dangerous but he was not going to let Bay get hurt. Bay asked if he did get hurt, what would he do. Dave said he would destroy the saw. Bay was pretty much ready to go after that response. So on went the safety glasses, the tears had started to dry and they were off to cut the first piece. He did great. Daddy kept his hands right ontop of Bay's and Bay did just as he was told. No missing limbs to report. After the saw was off, he was beaming from ear to ear-proud of what he had just accomplished. That was such an amazing transformation. I was so proud of him. To do something he was so afraid of, was pure magic. So proud of that kid. Well, after they cut another piece (for the first board that broke) Bay signed the wood and dated it proud of it. Then he helped daddy drill it back in to the frame of the bed. So proud...
