Bailey's new glasses

Wow-what a stud. He is so handsome in his new glasses. He was pretty excited to get them today. He asked if I could email his teacher and let her know he finally got his glasses. He can't wait to wear them in class. I just hope he takes good care of them.We had a big discussion on responsibility. Hopefully he takes it to heart. But, my gosh, how cute is he!!!

More pics at Sea World

A few more pics of the great time on our vacation. The boys slept so hard and fell asleep even before the lights went out. Wow-thats how you know they had a great time and are dog tired. Too bad we cant always wear them out like that.

Sea World (thursday the 19th)

We had such a great time at Sea World. It was an awesome vacation. The boys got to touch Bat Rays, a dolphin and star fish. They were so in awe of Shamu-ofcourse we had to sit in the soak zone and got drenched from head to toe. Here are just a few pics of them having a great time.

Last Legoland post (tues 17th)

Here are a few more pics of Legoland. The first one is of Obama's inauguration. So many characters. Then Cam and I on the rollercoaster-he went on it with daddy also and wanted to go again. It was quite a sharp drop. That kid went on all the fast rides-he's a nut!We did make Bay go on one fast one and he made me hold him so tight. We just could not get over all of the things that were made from legos. Better run, off for one more day of Sea World.

Legoland (tues 17th) continued

Here are a few pics of Legoland. The boys had such a great time.We all had a great time. There was so much to see.The minitown was adorable. Everything was made of legos. The boys got to go to driving academy and they both received their licenses. I was trying to get Cam to look up at me so I could take a picture. But he said,"Mom, Im trying to focus" How cute is that. He did not want to crash his car. And Bay did really well driving. He said he did accidentally run a stop sign but did not get a ticket. Phew!

Legoland Or Bust Tuesday the 17th)

Just a quick picture of when we entered Legoland. They actually had a pirate lego character greeting everyone. I will try to be back later tonight to post a few more pics of our day at Legoland. We are getting ready to leave for Sea World. Shamu, here we come.

Still Monday-in the car part 2

We had bought a movie for the kids hoping it would entertain for a while. It was a 3D movie so here they are with their 3D glasses on. Too funny!!

Monday (16th) On Our Way!!

Today is actually wednesday but have not had a chance to update. We are pretending it is monday. Here are a few shots of us in the car very excited about our vacation. We left around 7:30 but had to make a detour due to I-5 being closed. We finally made it around 4:30. It was a very long trip in the car but the boys did a great job. Camden did throw up a little-which Bay was freaking out about. But all in all, it went fairly smooth.

Party Time

So today was the big party day. Both boys were so excited to eat all of the junk food at the parties.Great-sugar high for all.I was incharge of Cam's party so I could not just follow him around taking pictures. I got this one pic of him making the bookmark we did and the one I took of us playing Valentines BINGO ofcourse did not turn out. So this was basically the only picture I got of him today.I so wanted to get pics of him eating pizza and cupcakes with his friends or when he played pin the tongue on the frog game but I was stuck at the center today. Not complaining. I do enjoy helping in his class just disappointed at all the pics I missed. I missed him passing out all his valentines to all his friends and writing a story at journaling center.I know I won't be able to take pics of everything, but its so hard when I was right there-just detained.Cam's party was from 12:30 to 2:15 and then it was clean up time. Then I ran a few doors down to catch the end of Bay's party. I got off just a few shots of him playing Valentines Bingo and all the junk he was eating before it was clean up time. I felt bad that I couldn't help at Bays party but I had already promised Cam's teacher I could run his (considering I am head room mom I had to do it) Next year, I am just being room mom for both classes. They both brought home a bag full of cards and junk-wonderful.
Mrs. Douglas came over to me while I was taking pics of Bay and told me a little story of what had happened at lunch today. Poor baby. Well, today was his day to buy hot lunch and it was nachos and a cookie and milk. Well, him and another kid kind of bumped each other and the kid dumped his nachos on himself and quite a bit of the cheese landed on Bay's head and side of his face. Well, a large group of boys started laughing and pointing at him and making fun of him. He was mortified and so embarrrassed that his first response was that he started to cry. So, I guess he just kind of stood there and there were tears streaming down his face and he just did not know what to do. He was crying pretty hard until someone finally came over to help. How sad is that? I almost teared up when she was telling me this. This isn't the first time he has cried at school (he cried a few months back when he farted in class and everybody made fun of him)I asked him what had happened and he kind of relayed the same story. I wanted to kind of talk about it a little and let him know instead of getting embarrassed and sad, to actually learn how to laugh at yourself and turn it into a funny memory instead of an embarrassing and sad one.But he did not really want to talk about it anymore.I know it is a hard thing to laugh at yourself-I have a hard time doing it. I know he gets this side from me. It is something I would have reacted to just the same way but I want him to be able to change the way he reacts to it-like I wish I could do.Well, needless to say he has been very loving to me today. He actually gave me hugs and kisses today infront of his classmates and the mommies that were helping. Which is a huge deal because I can hardly get a nod when we are out in public let alone a hug.So I think he was feeling pretty vulnerable. I ofcourse loved getting all the hugs and kisses but that is about over now.Oh well.Well, they have gotten to bed really late the last few nights so it is time to go tuck in the little buggies.Night for now.

Teacher Gifts

Here are the little gifts we made for the boys' teachers for Valentines day. They are little mailboxes and inside them they have a small bottle of body wash and lotion, little bottle of pink jelly bellies and a peanut butter heart candy(Valentines wouldn't be Valentines without a little chocolate)Both teachers absolutely loved them.Yeah!!

January Journal Book

Yesterday, Camden brought home his January journal. At writing center, they have to come up with 2-3 sentences and draw a picture to support what they wrote.Already, his handwriting and his sounding out words has improved so much. I just had to share the last entry for January. These are in Camden's words....
"Yesterday, right after school my brother took off. I called him blasted boob. My brother kicked me in the tenders." Boys are so different than girls.

Filling Out Valentines

Today the boys started working on their valentines for their friends. Their big class parties are this friday. I am incharge of Cam's party. We are just going simple. Pizza, fruit, crackers, punch and cupcakes. Then we have 5 centers with either a craft, game or project. Thank goodness there is only one more clas party left this year. Next year, I will help just not be incharge of them all. Then ofcourse I will be taking as many pictures as possible-hoping to run over to Bay's class to snap a couple pics also.I asked Bay if he had a special valentine for a special girl and he said," no, I am still looking and keeping my options open." I just about died of laughter. How old are you Mr. Cassanova? That kid cracks me up sometimes. Camden just says that I am his girlfriend and that he will fight daddy for me.Too cute. Cam did go back to school today-thank goodness. Just a few necessary minutes to myself. I basically came home from taking him and just chilled on the couch listening to the quietness of the house. Then it got a little eerie so had to turn on the tv. I am not used to silence-the tv is just for noise. Half the time I am not even watching it. Well, off to make parmasan chicken and roasted red potatoes...

Here We Go Again

We ended up having to go to the dr.'s yesterday. Glad we did. Camden has bronchitis. Yuck! Poor baby. We are also back to doing his breathing treatments twice a day and back on the Singulair. He is bummed about the breathing treatments. He doesn't like them because they take about 20 minutes and the machine is pretty loud. Here he is holding it all by himself. He is actually doing a good job-ofcourse I am on the couch supervising. I am relieved this happened now instead of when we are on vacation-that tends to happen. He has spent a few evenings in the ER in different cities.NOT fun and tends to get expensive. So, one more day home from school. I told Dave that next saturday, I am going out by myself for a while-I have been cooped up way too long. But, Cam is already acting like he feels better jsut after 2 doses of amoxicillin. Awesome. Now, on to do one more load of blankets

Note from Bay

Yesterday was a little bit of a tough day. Maybe because I haven't really had any time for myself in about a week or because I have had Cam home sick for a few days or what but there has been quite a bit of arguing with me lately. I seriously think it is Bay's favorite thing to do. I didn't think it started this early but man. He will say anything to argue his point or try and make himself right-instead of way wrong. Twisting things already-WOW I didn't know I was living with a teenager. So, we had quite a bit of arguing with me yesterday and finally he just had to go to his room for a half hour and think about why he does this. Afterwards he comes out and hands me this note.It is so weird to me that just because he was in trouble, I might not love him anymore. So I wrote back.Ofcourse I still love you. It is your attitude and your actions I am not that happy about. I told him that no matter what he does, it will never make me not love him (who he is) So, here is hoping today goes a little smoother-Mom needs a break!

Sweet Boy

I woke up this morning to this being handed to me. How sweet is this.
Translation=I love you.I am happy because you are the very best mommy.
I could just eat him up. Poor baby is home again today from school. Cam started throwing up a little-from coughing too hard so I have had my gloves on scrubbing spots off the floor. I also thought I was done with the laundry yesterday (6 loads) but he just happened to throw up on his bedding. Oh well, I am glad his fever is gone. Here is hoping he will get to go to school tomorrow.

Report Card Time

We are officially half way over with the school year-WOW -has gone by incredibly fast. Here is Bay holding up his awesome report card. He had several A+ and A's and several O's (outstanding). We did not have one N-we had one last quarter so he has improved. And almost all of the S (satisfactory) he got last quarter, so many turned into S+(which is a big deal because we have been working really hard on respect, self-discipline,work habits and self control. Even though it is still an S' it is up a little with the +. We are so proud of him. He is doing excellent work.Keep going Bay

Sick Little One

Well, early this morning (3am), Cam woke up with a pretty good little fever and a bigger cough. Poor baby. Dave ended up sleeping in Cam's bed and Cam was with me. Poor baby-felt so warm all night. I was hoping he was not getting sick but when he woke up Sunday with the seal bark cough, I had a bad feeling. He was doing fine almost all day but not now. He is just chillin' right now and I am forcing him to drink a ton of water. We tell him the more he drinks, the more he will pee out the germs and that is actually working. The kids are actually pretty good about drinking water. I only let them have a cup of juice or milk once at dinner and the rest of the time they always have a water cup. I just see all of these kids that drink anything but water and end up being overweight. I cannot imagine being an overweight child. Why have them drink all of those empty calories. I would rather have them be able to have a small treat in their lunch. They love little surprises in their lunch-whether it be a hershey kiss or a mini cookie)Its all good. Enough of my ramblings, off to read a story to sickie.

Minutes Before It Was Over

Well, I was able to get one more page done last night just minutes before the game was over.Oh, so close. Bay and I were rooting for the "Red" team and Cam and daddy were rooting for the "Yellow" team. That is how I pick which team to win-best colors (such a girl) Well, have to start another load of laundry-the work of a mom.

3D and snacks

So it is SuperBowl Sunday. I am not really a fan but I do enjoy the funny commercials and there is going to be a preview for Transformers 2 pretty soon. Dave is super stoked about that one. We just watched the Monsters vs Aliens preview in 3D. It looks so adorable and funny. The kids are wanting to see it something fierce. Now, Bruce Springsteen is performing-whoop-dee-do. I am not a fan.Sorry! The boys have just about ate their weight in chips and dip and yet still are wanting more. They are rowdy enough-no more sugary things. Why does it effect them so? They are being pretty rowdy and loud but I am on countdown time-You know what I mean. Usually around this time I start tuning them out. Dave is about ready to come home from work and if we have had a busy or not listening day I am already envisioning Dave coming in and being able to head into the scraproom-er I mean RUN. It is a nice little vacation for me-even though Camden seems to find his way in there within minutes of me stepping in to "my world". I love them so but sometimes a mom has to do what a mom has to do.
